Madeleine Wulfahrt

Writer and Translator

Madeleine Wulfahrt (née Pulman-Jones) was born in London, and lives in New York. She has written essays for Penguin Modern Classics, MUBI Notebook, The Times Literary Supplement, and elsewhere. Her poems have appeared in publications including PN Review and The Adroit Journal. As a translator, Madeleine works across Polish, Russian and Yiddish, and is experienced working with literary, journalistic, and commercial texts. Between 2017 and 2022, she spent time living in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Warsaw, where she worked with a variety of cultural institutions. She is currently completing an MA in Slavic Languages at Columbia, and working on a book.
